Oct 7 - After the breakfast buffet, I drove to the Chinquapin Ridge Trail Parking area and hiked to Backcountry Camp #3 then on to the Cane Creek swinging bridge. The bridge was doable, although made me a bit nervous I was able to cross it both ways. Hiked back towards the car, but decided to hike a bit further so I hiked over the road crossing (Cane Creek) then, unbeknownst to me, I took the lower bridge walkway that led to a trail to Group Lodge 1 and not the Upper loop trail that I expected. Found out latter that I would have had to cross the bridge on the walkway next to the road surface, not the lower walkway I did take, to get to the Upper Loop Trail.
