Saw on the news that the New Trail in Overton Park was finally opened and it was such a nice day (70 Deg Sunny Fall Day) I decided to check it out. Very nice trail work was done on this. Could still see sections of the old fence (I hope that they take it down someday, but again maybe it will keep it from getting unauthorized trails). As advertized, about a half mile loop.
Trail starts a bit past the archway past near the Bark Park off to the left (see map above, when the trail diverges from the paved trail).
Since this section of the Old Growth Forest has been behind a fence for years, it still has a lot more of the old growth feel to it than other sections of the park.
